An exclusive 2 day gourmet experience is available for a group of 4 to 6 people with private use of the Lodge. This includes airport transfers from Launceston, supper on arrival and a bottle of wine, all meals including a 5 course degustation meal with matched Tasmanian wines. Champagne breakfast on Sunday and a food and wine tour on the way back to Launceston or the airport.
Deloraine forms the centre of a rich agricultural district and increasingly local farmers are turning to specialty crops to diversify their incomes. Local cheesmaker Asgrove Farm provides a variety of cheeses, milk and cream. We purchase fresh Tasmanian fish from Petuna and freshwater salmon and ginsing from producer 40degree South. Free range eggs and organic meats come from the neighbours at High Marsh. Fresh fruit and vegetables, much of it organic, come from the valley and increasingly our own garden and orchard. Because the raw ingredients for our meals are sourced locally, as well as being fresh, this also reduces the food miles and environmental impact of food transport.
For a special occasion birthday or anniversary we can cook almost anything you would like, as long as it is local, including crayfish in season. Crayfish will add to the cost of an evening meal and needs to be ordered a week at least ahead of your arrival.
