Deluxe Room
Spacious comfortable bedroom with queen bed and ensuite bathroom with both a bath and a shower. This room is more private being located at the end of the building and looks north to the forests on Quamby Bluff as well as south to the mountains.
The room features an external screened patio alongside a small creek with an outdoor table and chairs accessed from the room through french doors. The birdlife is prolific and the creek is occasionally visited by a local platypus. Relax with a good book and a glass of wine after a walk in the forest and a hot bath.
A comprehensive breakfast with hot and cold dishes is included in the tariff.
If you are booking the family suite this will be one of your rooms. It accommodates two people in the queen bed, another in a single bed and a child in the trundle. The second room is a choice of another queen room with a single or a twin room with three single beds. The two rooms together accommodate up to 7 people in a family group or friends traveling together. You will have exclusive use of the lounge and dining room.
Facilities
Queen bed, extra single if required and a trundle bed, quality bed linen, lounge chairs, bath, shower over bath, hand made soap, shampoo, large towels and face cloth.
Forest Walks Lodge is off the electricity grid and we generate all our own power, therefor there is no fridge, electric jug or hairdryer in the room. We can accommodate fresh food in the kitchen fridge if required and tea and coffee making facilites are available to all guests in the dining area. There is no television but we do have a collection of DVD’s if you have a computer to play them on. There is a small collection of fiction books for guests to read and natural history books about Tasmania. We have a few games and some baby toys.
Accommodation, Meals and Activity Packages
Special two and three day packages for family groups of up to 9 in a combination of adults and children can be arranged. If you are just one person or a group of 9 we can put together a package for you with includes all or some of your meals and a range of activities from guided walks to flyfishing, wildcave tours and rafting on the Meander river. Meals can be arranged at times to suit the family and prepared to your requirements. The lodge is uncluttered and there is plenty of opportunity for young children to play outdoors.
