There are three bedrooms available for guests. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. The rooms are sympathetically designed and beautifully decorated with local artwork. Large fluffy towels, quality bed linen, handmade soaps and eco shampoo are features we think you will enjoy. Each bedroom has an external door directly onto a patio, ideal for sipping drinks and watching the sunset. Since the lodge is designed as a solar passive building the rooms are warm and sunny in the spring and autumn but well shaded in the summer. Because the sun is unpredictable in the winter we use an underfloor heating system to keep the rooms cosy and warm.
Forest Walks Lodge is off the electricity grid and we generate all our own power, therefor there is no fridge, electric jug or hairdryer in the bedrooms. We can accommodate fresh food in the kitchen fridge if required and tea and coffee making facilites are available to all guests in the dining area. There is a small collection of fiction books for guests to read and natural history books about Tasmania. We have a few games and some baby toys. There is no television but we do have a collection of DVD’s if you have a computer to play them on.
